Cement truck driver suffers serious injuries in crash

A 67-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Haldimand County on Tuesday afternoon.The man was driving a cement truck eastbound on Concession 11 Walpole near Hagersville when the truck rolled into the ditch trapping him inside. Haldimand firefighters extricated the man from the vehicle. He was transported to area hospital before being air-lifted to a Hamilton hospital.Haldimand OPP say the cement truck was fully loaded at the time. It’s unknown why the truck left the road, said police.Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has information to assist with the investigation to contact them at 1- 888 – 310 – 1122.
