James Earl Jones To Be Honored at American Theatre Wing’s 2015 Gala

The You Can’t Take It With You star is an alum of the American Theatre Wing Professional School. The event will be held on September 28, 2015 at New York’s Plaza Hotel.center_img Jones garnered Tony Awards for his performances in Fences and The Great White Hope and additional nominations for On Golden Pond and The Best Man. His other Broadway credits include Driving Miss Daisy, Othello, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Of Mice and Men and The Iceman Cometh. His many film roles include Clear and Present Danger, the first Star Wars trilogy, Field of Dreams and The Man. He was nominated for an Oscar in 1971 for The Great White Hope.last_img
