first_imgThe only thing lurking in the dark this Halloween will be the 22brilliant dancers taking part in Glenswilly GAA’s ‘Strictly ComeDancing’.Tickets for the event, which takes places at the Silver Tassie onSunday, October 29th, are already booking out as fast as bats out ofhell.Organsier and host Lee Gooch may not need much help with his horrormake-up but it promises to be a real fright night if he fluffs hislines! Lee admits that he’s under pressure delivering to his home communityin the Glenswilly area but he’s not getting too nervous.“I know it’s going to be a great night because I’ve seen some of thedancers in rehearsals and they’re real hot potatoes!“I know we’re going to have an amazing night because so muchpreparation has gone into this event.“My only advice to people is to get their hands on their tickets fastas this is going to be a sell-out night very soon,” he said. Shane McDevitt is mor used to taking on full-backs!Chairman of Glenswilly GAA Club, Eddie Crawford, paid tribute to theorganisers Paul Gallagher and Pauric Bonner and especially to thethree dance teachers Mary C Devine, Lorna Spratt and Jackie McAteer.“It’s not easy to keep a GAA club running and Glenswilly GAA Club isgetting bigger and better every season.“This is a very ambitious event but so many people have put in so muchhard work and it’s going to be such a great night,” said Mr Crawford.No event would be able to get off the starting blocks without sponsorsand Glenswilly have pulled in ten of the best.They include Inishowen Motors, DNG Boyce Gallagher, Tobin’s ServiceStation, Gildea Traditional Farm Butchers, Kernans Service Stations,Donegal Stationery Company, Larkins, The Grill, Letterkenny Glass,McDonalds, Boyle Construction and James Doherty Buses.
