NSW again tops National Visitor Survey

first_imgNSW is continuing to bring in the greatest numbers of visitors from around Australia, according to the latest National Visitor Survey.Destination NSW chief executive officer Sandra Chipchase said that Sydney was still the most popular destination.“Sydney and NSW remains the most popular place, with more visitor nights and expenditure than any other state,” Ms Chipchase said.For the year end to March 2014, NSW was visited by 26.3 million people in Australia who stayed more than 85 million nights.In addition total expenditure by domestic overnight visitors grew by 10 per cent to AUD 15.35 billion during the same period.This growth was driven by the Holiday and Visiting Friends and Relative markets.Source = ETB News: Tom Nealelast_img read more
