The statement added that Adamu, ​while commiserating with the family and friends of the deceased, called for calm and assured that justice will be done in the matter. He vowed that any person found culpable will be brought to book. Reports had it that the SARS operative pushed Kazeem out of a moving vehicle. An oncoming vehicle then crushed him to death. The policeman has since been apprehended by the Zone 2 Police Command, which covers Lagos and Ogun States. The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Command, Ahmed Iliyasu, ordered the arrest of the policeman. The Police Public Relations Officer, Zone 2 Command, DSP Hauwa Idris-Adamu, made the disclosure in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Lagos.
