first_imgRelatedPosts Fulham keen on Lookman loan deal Runarsson joins Arsenal on four-year deal Arsenal, Wolves want Michael Olise Arsenal vs. Everton Venue: Emirates Stadium Kick off: 5:30PMArsenal and Everton square off at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon with just two points separating the teams in the Premier League table. While Arsenal have put together a six-match unbeaten streak in the top flight, Everton have lost just one of their last 11 league outings. There were times earlier this season when it was unclear when Arsenal would keep their next clean sheet, an ongoing concern when Mikel Arteta was named as the long-term successor to Unai Emery. Having recorded three shutouts in a row, Gunners supporters are now feeling optimistic about the development of a talented squad which has under-performed in recent years. Any worries about Arteta’s lack of managerial experience have now disappeared, with the Spaniard’s calls for his players ‘to enjoy defending’ music to the ears of fans who have watched poor displays at the back undermine their efforts at the other end of the pitch. Arsenal remain far away from being the finished article, as well as still being seven points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea, but there is now belief that they can at least secure European football for next season. At a time when clean sheets have been kept against Burnley, Newcastle United and Olympiacos respectively, Alexandre Lacazette has ended his goal drought with two strikes in successive matches. Although the Frenchman was dropped for Eddie Nketiah against Newcastle last weekend, the decision appears to have had the desired effort on the more experienced frontman, who is aware that he is no longer guaranteed a place in the team. Arteta’s stance of naming teams based on performances in training over reputation is currently working in his favour, with the former midfielder able to see who he wants in his first-team squad ahead of the following campaign. While the focus remains on the short term and getting Arsenal up the Premier League table, Arteta is aware that the impending reshuffle in personnel is just as important if the club are going to return to the upper echelons of English football. The same can be said of Everton, with Duncan Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti having contributed to 22 points being recorded from their last 11 fixtures in the top flight. That kind of run appeared extremely unlikely when the Toffees found themselves close to the relegation zone in November, and it is now up to Ancelotti to ensure that his team can push on towards the top four. Although Everton face consecutive games against Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea, the upcoming period represents an ideal chance to make up further ground at a time when their rivals are involved in other competitions. Ancelotti will have small concerns regarding the defensive side of their game, with just one shutout being recorded from eight attempts in all competitions. Nevertheless, the form of Everton’s attack-minded players is as good as anyone in the Premier League right now, a drastic improvement on the return under Marco Silva. While Dominic Calvert-Lewin is naturally grabbing the headlines as he continues to shine under Ancelotti, Richarlison remains the key man with 12 goal involvements to his name. Ancelotti has work to do when it comes to Gylfi Sigurdsson, however, as the playmaker waits for his first goal since October 19. If the Iceland international can add a finishing touch to his overall solid performances, it could make the difference to Everton as they bid to earn another appearance on the continent. Arsenal possible XI: Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Luiz, Saka, Xhaka, Ceballos, Pepe, Ozil, Aubameyang, Lacazette. Everton possible XI: Pickford, Coleman, Mina, Keane, Digne, Schneiderlin, Delph, Iwobi, Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.Tags: ArsenalEmirates StadiumEvertonMike ArtetaUnai Emerylast_img read more

In an interview with MOG CEO David Hyman, ReadWriteWeb learned that tomorrow morning the company will announce deals with Universal, Sony, Warner and EMI. While other services are scrambling to sign licensing agreements with the four major US labels, MOG All Access will launch before November 26. It looks like Americans will have plenty to celebrate this Thanksgiving. dana oshiro MOG All Access is a browser-based service that will offer more than 5 million on-demand tracks from a number of major and indie record labels. Similar to Grooveshark the service will require no installation; however, unlike Grooveshark, MOG will not provide a free music service beyond its initial trial period. Says Hyman, “The problem with free services is that if too many people use them, you can’t offset the licensing fees with ad revenue. There’s only so much you can do with advertising, but the subscription model ensures that you’re running something sustainable.”For the cost of five monthly iTunes purchases, users gain access to a huge catalogue of on demand music and music reviews. While MOG’s editorial service and MOGtv channel will remain free to the general public, the subscription service will offer easy access to songs, radio recommendation features and a plethora of popular tunes. Because Hyman has negotiated for full access to files, his service will not be bound by the same streaming radio restrictions as Pandora. Hyman was also excited to announce that mobile device integration with the iPhone and Blackberry is expected before the end of 2009. And if the low cost of the upcoming subscription service isn’t promising enough, MOG’s first mobile release will boast the same offline caching features that make Spotify’s US launch so widely anticipated. With data from more than 700 of the top music blogs and an editorial lineup that already draws more than 9.5 million unique monthly visitors, MOG’s recommendation service will offer more than just your run-of-the-mill selection. The community of music mavens appears poised for total noise domination and if competitors are smart, they’ll fire back before the new year. A Very Grateful Man TCIs Darron Hilaire laments following frightening ordeal with

first_imgFacebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsApp Related Items: Facebook Twitter Google+LinkedInPinterestWhatsAppTurks and Caicos, August 4, 2017 – Providenciales – The past few hours have been quite an experience.   One I never imagined I would ever face.     I spent the last two weeks, and more so the last two days studying the wisdom books of the Bible — Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job.   I became extremely fascinated by a passage from the book of Ecclesiastes Ch 12:1, which says paraphrased, “Set your mind on Christ in your youth.”I taught from this scripture in my boy’s small group session for the past weeks and have been eager to read the entire book to understand the intention of the author.   Through study I found out that in order to understood the message of Ecclesiastes, you also have to understand the message of Proverbs, which comes first, and Job, who comes last. The Book of Proverbs highlights the concept and the principle of wisdom.   It simply indicates that whoever finds and exercises wisdom is guaranteed success in all areas of their life. The Book of Ecclesiastes is written more from a critic’s tone of voice.   The teacher and the author describes how life is but a whisp of smoke. It is unpredictable.   Things good and bad happen to the wise and the unwise.   We all share the same destiny: death.   Death equalizes us.The Book of Job builds on this wisdom, and ends with a beautiful and powerful message.   Job is tested by God to the extent that he loses everything he ever valued.   The scriptures indicate that he did absolutely nothing to deserve it.   He then decided to question God and ask, why did this happen to me of all people?   God responded to Job very vividly in a vision indicating that, there are some things in life we may never come to understand. The message of the book of Job was simply to trust in God’s wisdom.I had a conversation with my Pastor earlier after mentioning this to him and he gave what I thought was a perfect summary.   He said, “fairness is not a biblical concept; trusting God is.”I may never get closure.   Justice may never be served.   But I trust that God in his infinite and mysterious wisdom and divine sovereignty knows all things, and does all things well.I recall not being fearful at all for the entire time that I was facing the ground, taking orders from masked gun men, tied up, held hostage in the backseat of my car, held at gunpoint, robbed, and released.   There was an overwhelming sense of peace and wisdom that saturated my consciousness and being to which I grateful to the Holy Spirit. The robbers remarked that I was a good man and therefore handed me my bag, my wallet and after several request, my phone—unharmed.I remember sitting to my desk yesterday afternoon reading Job and saying to myself, God, I hope I don’t have to be tested in such a way any time soon. Not knowing that, in a matter of hours, my time would come.  I am not the least bit discouraged.   I am more so empowered by the way my faith and trust in God has grown and has been growing.I am encouraged to share this experience as I assist with leading the memorial for my 19 year old cousin who lost his life in an accident that I was 5 minutes away from experiencing.May this be a lesson to all of us. God is Sovereign.   His wisdom is unmatched and not always understood. And as the book of Ecclesiastes states,   “The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.”Thank you all for the calls and comments. It was sincerely appreciated.Blessings and love,Darron D.
